Managed services that the CHRO and the CIO can both check.

04 · RUN · AI-enabled AMS

AI-enabled AMS means one senior practitioner owns each ticket, results are shown against your own service agreement in business time only, and each SAP release is tested against your configuration before it reaches payroll. Our reliability monitoring and release testing tools can be seen working on your own questions.

The CHRO needs an employee answer from someone who knows the build. The CIO needs every change to have a reason, an approver, a window and a way back. We run support so that both read the same record: the monthly service report, the change record and the release impact list. Our reliability monitoring tool, can be piloted to put integrations, jobs and incidents in one view.

What you can check each month

One senior practitioner owns every ticket

Each ticket is owned by a person who knows how your SuccessFactors is built, and one senior consultant owns your platform.

  • Repeat causes fixed at the source
  • Escalation to the person who owns your platform
  • Monthly review with the practitioner doing the work

Release testing: each SAP release checked against your setup

Our release testing tool can be seen working on your own questions, and we can help you pilot it against preview tenants so each semi-annual release is tested against your configuration before it reaches payroll.

  • Regression scenarios planned with your test lead
  • Impact assessment for each release
  • A pilot set up around your next release

Reliability monitoring: integrations, jobs and incidents in one view

Our reliability monitoring tool puts integrations, jobs and incidents in one view. We can show it working and pilot it with a client.

  • Integrations, jobs and incidents in one place
  • Resolutions documented where your team can search them
  • AI use on your data is opt-in and written into your statement of work

Continuous optimization

Our practitioners turn what your tickets show into a prioritised improvement backlog, so the platform gets better in service.

  • Recurring cost drivers reviewed quarterly
  • Process friction raised with your team
  • Improvements delivered inside the run, not as a new project

The platform behind it

Reliability monitoring puts integrations, jobs and incidents in one view. Release testing organises regression scenarios for each SAP release. Both are ours, and neither has a client live on it yet. Neither replaces the support practitioner who owns your environment.

Where the human stays accountable

In our own delivery, AI raises risk flags. A senior practitioner reviews each one, decides what happens and is accountable for the result.

Straight answers

What is SAP application management services (AMS)?

AMS is the service that keeps your SAP platform running after the project team leaves: handling incidents and service requests, applying and testing the vendor releases, making small configuration changes, watching integrations, and carrying the roadmap of improvements you never had time for during the build. For SAP SuccessFactors and S/4HANA it also means owning the twice-yearly release cycle rather than reacting to it.

How is AI-enabled AMS different from traditional AMS?

Traditional AMS scales by adding people to a queue. We run support with a senior practitioner who fixes repeat causes at the source. In our own delivery, AI raises risk flags that lead reviews. Our reliability monitoring and release testing tools are built, with demos available, and we can help you pilot them. No client is live yet on AI we built.

Who is accountable when the AI gets something wrong?

We are, and specifically the senior practitioner on your account. AI output is a draft, not a decision. Nothing reaches your production environment without a practitioner reviewing it, and anything touching pay, personal data or an employment decision is made by a person. The governance is written into the service description, not assumed.

Does this cover S/4HANA as well as SuccessFactors?

Yes. Most of our AMS work is SuccessFactors-led, because that is where we are deepest, and it extends across the connected landscape: Employee Central Payroll and the integrations around it, and S/4HANA Finance and SAP Analytics Cloud backed by our global partnerships. Employee data does not stay inside HR, so support that stops at the HR boundary tends to leave the hardest incidents unowned.

Can you take over our SuccessFactors support from another provider?

Yes. We take over work that another provider began or ran, with no finger-pointing and no rebuild for its own sake. First we review what is live: configuration, integrations, open issues and support history. Then we agree the handover with your HR and IT teams, covering scope, responsibilities, service levels, escalation and dates, before anything moves. We overlap the outgoing provider rather than replacing them on a date, and run in parallel until the new team is genuinely carrying the load. Most of the risk in an AMS change is in undocumented knowledge, so that is where the transition effort goes.

Does AI-enabled support mean fewer senior people on our account?

The opposite, in our model. AI absorbs the pattern work that used to justify a large junior pod, which is what makes a small senior team affordable. You should be able to name the practitioners on your account, and they should be people who have configured the modules you run.

Where would our data go if AI were used on our tickets?

Into the processing arrangement written into your contract, with the residency position stated rather than assumed. We do not train models on client data. Where Canadian or regional data residency is required, the service is designed to that constraint from the start instead of seeking an exception later.

How does AI change the twice-yearly SAP release?

Impact assessment and regression coverage are generated from your actual configuration rather than assembled by hand, so more of the system gets tested and the assessment arrives earlier in the cycle. The judgement calls (which optional features to adopt, what to defer) stay with practitioners who know your roadmap.
